Plant life at Cedar Breaks

When Kellie and I recently visited Cedar Breaks, the wildflowers were just beginning to bloom.  The contrasts in plant life were really interesting.  I hope you enjoy these images it as much as I did the scenery.

Beetle Damage

Kellie and I visited Cedar Breaks National Monument last week.  While on I hike there we saw thousands of trees that had been killed by an infestation of beetles a number of years ago.  In this image you can see the patterns the beetles made as they burrowed into the tree.
