Tulips look great when lit from behind. The petals and leaves take on a translucent quality I really enjoy. This setup tends to work better as the sun gets low in the sky, and it helps to get low to the ground when framing the flowers. I also experimented with adding an off camera flash. It worked okay in certain situations, but this photo turned out better using only the sun.
