In memory of Anna Swann

Photos-08

Kellie’s grandmother, Anna Swann, passed away peacefully on December 12 at the age of 103. She died on her beloved husband Alex’s birthday.  Having preceded her in death by some 15 years, Grandma has missed Grandpa sorely.  We can only imagine what a wonderful reunion it must have been as he came to call for her.

Grandma Swann was one of the most amazing women I’ve ever known.  She didn’t like the idea of having her photo “up on the Internet,” so I chose to remember her with this photo of an afghan she made for us.  One of many beautiful items she crocheted for us over the years, we’ll always remember the time, love, and care she put into each gift.  She completed this afghan earlier this year at the age of 102.

We’ll miss you Grandma, but we’re glad you can finally be with Grandpa again.

I’m sad she finally passed away, but as you said I’m sure there’s a sweet reunion going on in Heaven right now. Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family.

(((HUGS))) Kellie and family! So sad, but what a wonderful reunion as well. I love what you said about her, that in itself, being one of the most amazing women you’ve ever known is such a great tribute to her! (((HUGS)))
